Conference Focuses On Women Empowerment

The fourth-annual WISE Conference, a cooperative effort between The Woodlands Chapter of WOAMTEC, MCABW and Business Women’s Forum, is Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 9 AM to 4 PM at Lone Star Corporate College, a sponsor of the WISE Conference.

With 10 percent higher attendance expected than last year’s conference – and nearly sold out – speakers, exhibiting vendors and guests will feel empowered from the numerous marketing and business networking opportunities happening throughout the day.

“Year after year, this conference evolves and becomes better and better,” said Dawn Candy, the 2016 WISE Conference Coordinator. “We have a new location at Lone Star College, a unique presentation to show guests, and scholarships to be awarded to especially worthy business women.”

This year’s keynote speaker is Indrani Goradia, founder of Indrani’s Light Foundation & founding member of Women’s Investment Network. The foundation’s mission is to “inspire, education, mentor and teach aspiring women and men to live the life of their dreams”.

Executive panelist include president and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands Missy Herndon, president of Milstead Automotive Amy Milstead, Lone Star College System’s Associate Vice Chancellor Linda Leto Head, and Regional SVP and CEO for Houston Methodist Debra F. Skin, MHA, PH.D.

There will be other speakers during breakout sessions on the topics health and wellness, leadership development and social media marketing.

This year’s conference is presented by Dawniel Winningham with Simply Winning, a coaching brand. Winningham is a renowned speaker, author and business woman who will also be speaking. The theme for the conference is “Empowering Women With Knowledge”.

Lone Star Corporate College is located at 5000 Research Forest Drive in The Woodlands, TX 77380. The conference will be in the Lone Star Community Building.
