Volunteers Needed for Annual Tree Planting Event

By  |

Volunteers are needed to plant hardwood trees and loblolly pine saplings, Saturday, February 18, 2017, from 8 a.m. to noon at Footbridge Park, located at 7950 Creekside Green Drive, in the Village of Creekside Park.

For the third consecutive year, volunteers will make a difference and have a memorable experience in The Woodlands during the annual Community Tree Planting event hosted by The Woodlands Township.

As an important part of the community’s reforestation program, thousands of trees will be planted. Trees will vary in species and sizes, ranging from seedlings up to 30-gallon pots. The variety of trees enables volunteers of all ages and fitness levels to participate.

For more information, please visit The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department webpage, www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/environment.

Volunteers may sign up online at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/volunteer, or call 281-210-3800. Drop-in volunteers are also welcome during the event.
