Tropical Wave Development Decreases, Wet Weekend Expected

By  |

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – The National Weather Service has decreased the chances of the tropical wave developing into a tropical storm to a 10% chance. If development does occur it will most likely be Saturday night through Sunday.

Montgomery County residents can expect heavy and intense rainfall of rates more than 2 inches per hour. These thunderstorms are expected to be slow moving, which could cause some street flooding, flooding in low lying areas, and areas prone to flooding. When street flooding occurs always use caution when driving. Turn Around, Don’t Drown!

The Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and its partners will continue to monitor and update on the progress and conditions of this tropical wave.
