Tropical Storm Imelda Update for Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – September 17, 2019 – 6:00 PM CST
– Tropical Storm Imelda continues to move inland over the Texas coast at 7 mph. Rainfall forecasts for Montgomery County predict between 4 and 6 inches over the next 2 days with isolated amounts of 8-10 possible. Heavy rain is likely to begin for Montgomery County late tonight and into tomorrow morning.

On your morning commute please make sure that you plan your routes accordingly. The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management office will work to keep you up to date on possible road closures due to high water. Street flooding is a concern so please exercise caution when driving. Remember: Turn Around Don’t Drown.
