Traffic Impact: Rayford Road lane closure Tuesday, January 23

By  |

SPRING, TX – A section of Rayford Road is scheduled to be under construction on the morning of Tuesday, January 23, 2018.

The Montgomery County Precinct 3 Office website shared a Traffic Impact Notice notifying the public that “local contractor Smith and Company will begin to overlay the recently milled section of Rayford Road with hot mix on Tuesday morning.”

The overlay is scheduled to take two days and the “entire section will then be striped on Thursday. All work is weather permitting. Expect some delays as there will be alternating lane closures throughout the week as the work is complete.”

The Montgomery County Precinct 3 Office’s Cody Grimes confirmed to Hello Woodlands that East Hawthorne at Rayford Road to Aldine Westfield would be impacted – both east and west bound.

Construction for Rayford Road Safety and Mobility Project, funded in the Montgomery County 2015 Bond, began in April 2017 and is expected to be completed in summer or fall of 2019. Rayford Road is being expanded to 6 lanes from Richard Road to SH 99 (Riley Fuzzel Road/Grand Parkway). This project will enhance safety and mobility for the community and those that use the road.
