Township Seeking Cultural Arts Opinion with Survey

By  |

The Woodlands Township in The Woodlands, Texas, has recently begun a Cultural Arts Feasibility Study and has placed an online survey for residents to give their feedback.

The survey is available on The Woodlands Township’s website at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/culturalarts and will be available until February 27, 2017.

“We encourage residents to take this opportunity to give the Township feedback on the type of cultural arts facilities and activities they would like to have in The Woodlands in the future,” said Township Chairman Gordy Bunch.

The study is to be unbiased and conducted in such a way that the Township will have full understanding of the type of cultural arts facility or facilities that would best be supported by The Woodlands Township, if any.

The Woodlands Township Board of Directors authorized Gensler to conduct the study in two phases: Phase I – Needs Assessment, and Phase II – Management/Business Plan and Financial Pro Forma (if necessary). At the completion of Phase 1, the Township Board will consider moving to Phase II, if necessary. Webb Management, an expert in cultural arts feasibility studies, will conduct the needs assessment portion for The Woodlands Township, in conjunction with Gensler. Representatives from both companies presented an overview of the study at the January 25, 2017, Township Board of Directors meeting. Discussion can be found on The Woodlands Township’s website under Board of Directors meeting videos.

Results of the survey will be included in the Phase 1 report, to be presented to the Township Board of Directors on March 22, 2017. For further information, please visit www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/culturalarts.
