The Woodlands Family YMCAs to Host Blood Donor Coach

THE WOODLANDS, TX — The Woodlands Family YMCAs will host the Blood Donor Coach in July, at both locations, to help address the critical needs of blood supply for local hospitals. Each donor will receive a free beach towel and Covid-19 ANTIBODY test with donation.

The donor coach will be at the local YMCAs at the following dates and times:

  • Friday, July 10th
    • 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
    • Shadowbend YMCA, 6145 Shadowbend Place.
  • Monday, July 13th
    • 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
    • Branch Crossing YMCA, 8100 Ashlane Way.
  • Monday, July 13th
    • 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
    • Shadowbend YMCA, 6145 Shadowbend Place.

As of June 30, walk in appointments are no longer accepted. All donors must register online for their preferred time and date. On the date of donation, please remember to eat, drink, and bring I.D. Visit www.giveblood.org to register and for more information.

The Blood Center now requires all donors and staff to wear face coverings to make sure all participants and are protecting one another from COVID-19 while helping to save the lives of patients in area hospitals. Giving blood remains an essential service during the pandemic. Collecting blood is a marathon, not a sprint. Blood donors are needed to consistently give now and in the future.
