The Pink 5K Returns to Assist Women & Families Affected by Breast Cancer

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Pink 5K is coming back to The Woodlands for the 6th year in a row. Grab your favorite running shoes, create a team, and walk/run to raise awareness and kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Saturday, October 5th.

The Breast Cancer Charities of America, also known as iGoPink, is celebrating 10 sparkling years with The Pink 5K being sparkle themed. All proceeds raised will go directly back towards the funding of iGoPink’s numerous program services that benefit men and women across the nation and locally who are battling breast cancer.

“We are excited to have everyone join us for the 2019 Pink 5K this year,” said Alix Josey, Executive Director at iGoPink. “This is such a fun event to raise awareness and garner support for all of those impacted by breast cancer. We cannot wait to see everyone’s sparkle and shine, and doing good while having fun.”

This fun family-friendly event is open to participants of all ages, and strollers, wheelchairs, and even dogs are all invited to participate. From face painting to Zumba, there will be a variety of entertainment throughout the morning for the whole family to enjoy. Registration is available online at www.ThePink5K.com and in person on the day of starting at 7:30 a.m. (pending availability). Participants may choose to register individually or as a team.
