The Pink 5K Kicks Off Breast Cancer Awareness Month

By  |

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Put your best foot forward this Breast Cancer Awareness Month by participating in The Breast Cancer Charities of America’s (BCCA) 6th annual Pink 5K on Saturday, October 5th at Rob Fleming Park.

To commemorate BCCA’s ten years of service to those around the nation who are battling breast cancer, this year’s Pink 5K will be sparkle themed, and everyone is invited to help celebrate.

“We are excited to have everyone join us for the 2019 Pink 5K this year,” stated Executive Director Alix Josey. “This is such a fun event to raise awareness and garner support for all of those impacted by breast cancer. We cannot wait to see everyone’s sparkle and shine and have a fun morning with all our participants.”

The race is open to participants of all ages and abilities with wheelchairs, strollers, and even dogs invited to partake in the morning’s festivities. Vendors and entertainment will be available throughout the event to provide activities like face painting and Zumba, and all proceeds will benefit The Breast Cancer Charities of America and their various programs used to aid patients touched by breast cancer.
