Suicide Awareness during the Holidays

By  |

Did you realize the rates of suicide rise dramatically during the holidays? It’s important to be armed with the knowledge and the tools to recognize when someone is in danger of hurting themselves.

Gather with the community to watch the documentary The Ripple Effect about Kevin Hines who jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge and survived. This movie documents the ripple effects of his decisions and the hope he is spreading to others through sharing information and inspiration.

The evening begins on Thursday, December 13 at 6:30 p.m. in The Woodlands UMC Harvest Worship Center and is free and open to the public. A viewing of the movie will begin at 7:00 p.m. followed by a question and answer session, with the evening wrapping up at 9:00 p.m. Learn more about the event here.

Join us for an event to bring awareness to this crisis so we can share hope with others. We will have information tables in the Harvest Lobby for anyone who needs materials or has additional questions about suicide awareness and prevention.
