Stronger to Serve’s Amazing Kindness Race set for March 21st

By  |

CONROE, TX – The Amazing Kindness Race, organized by Stronger to Serve, is set for March 21 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Southern Star Brewing Company. The relay-style team race allows family members, friends, or colleagues to have a blast racing through fitness and service challenges put on by local providers and nonprofits. The event supports local nonprofit Stronger to Serve in its mission to inspire kids to develop into strong, compassionate leaders.

Form a team and work together to complete a 5K, other fitness challenges including CrossFit and Taekwondo, and service challenges put on by nonprofits including Montgomery County Food Bank, Meals on Wheels of Montgomery County, Community Assistance Center, Yes to Youth!, Operation Pets Alive!, Kids’ Meals, Inc., and Inspiration Ranch. What better way to spend 2 hours on a Saturday morning?

“It was so much fun being in a team of close friends & our twin brother. It’s the only race that we know of where you get to challenge yourself, laugh, and do really cool stuff while learning about different organizations that help the community,” said Ilen and Neel Menon, past race participants.

Race teams need to sign up by March 1st at https://bit.ly/AmazingKindnessRace2020 to receive an event t-shirt with a chance to pick their team color. There will also be awards for the top finishing teams and swag bags. Everyone who registers gets a race shirt, free custom pint class, and one beer or soda. Stay after for food and entertainment.

Many of the participating nonprofits are returning for a second year and are excited to share their mission. They also know how important it is to make giving fun for both kids and adults.

“Seeing the families working together on our project of completing Breakfast Bags was so rewarding. Not only were the kids and parents having fun, they created a little bit of happiness for the homebound seniors that we serve. I encourage everyone to come out to this year’s Amazing Race, have some fun, and help those in need,” said Sarah Redfield, Meals on Wheels of Montgomery County Community Development Coordinator.
