Sheriff Unveils New Mobile App to Connect with Community
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has announced the release of a new Mobile App which is now available as a free download in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
The new Mobile App allows easy access to some of the most important features from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office website with the convenience and simplicity of a mobile app. Access to features such as Inmate Roster, Featured Wanted Felons, Sex Offender Registry, Jail information and Press Releases are at the tips of your fingers.
One of the most exciting features is the ability of the Mobile App user to select which push notifications they would like to subscribe to, including traffic alerts, public safety announcements, events and press releases. The user will be notified when Sheriff’s Office related events happen. We believe this will serve as an additional information resource for the public and will assist with community policing efforts.
The Mobile App is user friendly and will provide transparency between the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens who take an active role in our community. We hope that everyone takes advantage of this free App on their smartphone, as we believe this will bridge the gap between law enforcement functions and the citizens that are wanting information in real-time.
Sheriff Henderson states, “Keeping up with technology is important. We need to utilize innovative tools and technology to better connect with members of our communities and citizen partners. Our hope is that the Montgomery County Sheriffs mobile app does that and more”.
