Schools Closed Friday before Hurricane Harvey

The following schools and districts will be closed on Friday, August 25 due to the weather developments of Hurricane Harvey (as of 8/25 7:15 a.m.):

• Christ Community School
• Conroe ISD
• Language Arts Academy
• Klein ISD
• Splendora ISD
• Spring ISD
• The John Cooper School
• The Woodlands Christian Academy
• Tomball ISD
• Willis ISD

Montgomery ISD will have early releases at 11:30 a.m. (6-12th) and 1 p.m. (PreK-5th).

Lone Star College locations will close at 12 p.m. Friday, August 25.

Tomball ISD and Magnolia ISD will be closed on Monday, August 28.

Conroe Independent School District: “In accordance with all other Houston area school districts, Conroe ISD will be closed on Friday and all activities are cancelled. This allows time for families and local officials to make preparations for the storm. Only essential personnel performing critical operations should report on Friday. A decision about school being in session on Monday will be made on Sunday. Updates will be posted on the District’s website, Facebook, and Twitter.”

Tomball ISD: “There will be no school for students in Tomball ISD on Friday, August 25, and Monday, August 28. Campus and district administrators will report to work for a half day on Friday, Aug. 25, and will be released at noon.”
