Oh My Gogi wins Texas Taco Contest on Cinco de Mayo

By  |

The Texas Taco, Tequila, and Margarita Festival produced by Inspire Productions was held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 12 pm. until 12 a.m. at Preservation Park in Spring, Texas. Thousands attended the event, celebrated Cinco de Mayo, and enjoyed the festival’s foods and festivities.

The Texas Taco, Tequila, and Margarita Festival featured over 30 taco vendors, over 10 flavors of margaritas frozen and on the rocks, tequila flights, live music, mariachi bands, a kids zone with carnival rides and inflatables, local retail vendors, and much more.

Watch moments captured by Hello Woodlands during the event:

The event included a Taco Contest where taco vendors had the opportunity to battle it out and be judged by an expert panel during the festival. The Oh My Gogi! Food Truck, who entered two tacos – a Korean beef taco and an Asian infused chicken with caramelized Kimchi on top, won the taco competition. Oh My Gogi! is a funky food truck that travels across Montgomery County and Houston offering creative Mexican-Korean eats such as kimchi quesadillas.
