Montgomery County Heart Ball raised funds for Heart Disease and Stroke

By  |

The 24th annual American Heart Association of Montgomery County Heart Ball themed “Get Your Heart in the Game” gathered together Montgomery County’s philanthropists, business leaders, and socialites to The Woodlands Waterway Marriott on Saturday, February 16.

Guests enjoyed an unforgettable black-tie evening led by Chairs, Sondra, M.J. and Chris Ruhman, and emcee, ABC13’s Investigative Reporter Ted Oberg, to raise funds for the fight against America’s No.1 and No.5 killers – heart disease and stroke.

Heart Ball supporters helps the American Heart Association to analyze, connect, innovate, influence and invest in advancing efforts to change health outcomes as they relate to heart disease and stroke. Heart Ball celebrates these efforts to build a foundation of health in our community and ensure everyone lives a longer healthier life. The evening festivities included dinner, an opportunity to Open Your Heart and further support the mission and an exciting live auction.

During the Heart Ball, Josh Urban, Sr. VP and CEO of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, asked the audience to turn on their flashlights for those who have been affected by stroke or heart disease. Watch the video below capturing that moment.
