MCHD Offering Free Pediatric CPR & First Aid Classes

By  |

CONROE, TX – Montgomery County Hospital District (MCHD) is offering Pediatric CPR & First Aid classes for free in light of a new, stricter Texas law on licensed childcare facilities including homes. The new law requires childcare providers to take Pediatric CPR & First Aid classes if employed at a licensed daycare facility or a licensed in-home daycare. The first class of 2019 is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on January 19th at the MCHD Administration Building located at 1400 S Loop 336 West in Conroe, Texas 77304. Classes will be held once a month in 2019. The class includes an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED certification.

Pre-registration is required, and classes tend to fill quickly. The upcoming schedule and more information can be found at www.mchd-tx.org under “Upcoming Events.” Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.
