MCDAO accepting applications for Citizen Prosecutor Academy

Montgomery County District Attorney Brett Ligon has announced that his office is now accepting applications for the 2018 Citizen Prosecutor Academy. This will be the fourth class of the citizen’s academy and will provide a behind the scenes look at what goes on in your District Attorney’s Office. This 12-week course will start on August 6, 2018, and conclude with a graduation ceremony for participants on October 29, 2018.

The District Attorney’s Office is at the forefront of protecting the community and holding criminals accountable. During this course, participants will hear from prosecutors and investigators on a variety of topics, including murder investigations, human trafficking, Grand Jury, internet crimes against children, and the anatomy of a criminal jury trial. The tentative course schedule is as follows:

Labor Day Holiday – No Class
