March of Dimes Walk in The Woodlands April 14

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc will be hosting March of Dimes Spirit Nights on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Chick-fil-A on 1660 Lake Woodlands Drive and on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Fuddruckers Creekside on 8510 Creekside Forest Dr.

Due to the generosity of the local establishments, when March of Dimes or Jack and Jill is mentioned, a proceeds of the sales will go directly to The March of Dimes Foundation to support babies born prematurely. The Woodlands Chapter is proud to participate for the fifth consecutive year in the annual Montgomery March for Babies walk on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Raising money and awareness continues to be a guiding principle of elevating the health and wellbeing of families faced with the challenges of raising a child born prematurely.

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. has supported March of Dimes for many decades. This unique partnership is significant and important to the African American community, as the highest rates of babies born prematurely occur in our communities. At the National Convention in 1958, Charles Bynum, who served as the Director of Interracial Activities for the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, known now as March of Dimes, acknowledged Jack and Jill of America, Inc for its compassion and being an important benefactor, giving more support than any other organization of its kind. Then and now, Jack and Jill Chapters across America, continue the legacy of passion support by raising over $150,000 to promote awareness and assisting families in raising healthy babies to produce healthy citizens.
