Local Spring Break Activities

Spring Break is March 9-13, 2020 for Conroe, Tomball, and Magnolia public schools. Plan ahead to enjoy some of the fun local activities with the family happening all week long!

March 7-21 – Spring Break at The Woodlands Resort. Guests can chill out at the Lazy River & Waterpark where you can race down the waterslides, or float the 1,005-foot Lazy River. Grab an ice cream treat from Sweet Spot, take a bike ride, or venture out on Lake Harrison on a paddleboat, kayak, or pedal boat. End the night with s’mores roasting and a Big Screen Movie at the pool. There are tons of fun activities for everyone and action-packed days filled with games, competitions, and more! Learn More

March 7-14 – Spring BreaKation at The Woodlands Children’s Museum. Join The Woodlands Children’s Museum for Spring BreaKation events March 7th through March 14th, 2020! ALL events are included in the price of admission, which is $7 for adults and children 1 year and older. Learn More

March 7 & 8, 14 & 15, 21 & 22Woodlands Express Rodeo Service to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Residents in and around The Woodlands Township have a new way to get to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo through The Woodlands Express Rodeo Service! Riders have the opportunity to enjoy all the festivities without driving and parking concerns. The Woodlands Express Rodeo Service will leave the Sawdust Park and Ride location with return trips leaving NRG Stadium from the METRO/Rodeo Express pickup location throughout the afternoon and evening at scheduled intervals. March 9-13 – Spring Break at Spring Creek Nature Center. Learn about nature in a fun, family friendly way! Try a birding hike, learn about birds of prey and alligators, includes a chance to interact with live animal ambassadors, go on an adventure hike and a nature photo scavenger hunt, a family fishing camp with gear and bait provided by Fishing’s Future and the Nature Center staff and more! March 12-21 – Rising Stars and Legends of Texas. The 4th Annual Rising Stars and Legends of Texas will be presented in various venues throughout Downtown Conroe beginning Thursday, March 12th through Saturday March 21st offering opportunities for the public to experience the arts organizations represented by the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance (GCAA). Enjoy a photography exhibit and a national art show, Experience the Young Texas Artists Competition, meet the Texas Poet Laureate, watch Little Shop of Horrors at the historic Crighton Theatre, and much more! Rising Stars & Legends of Texas 2020 Events

March 14 – Creekwood Fishing Derby. Bring your fishing poles and The Woodlands Township will provide the bait! T-shirts are given on first-come, first-served basis. Prizes will be awarded for longest, heaviest, and smallest fish caught. The 13th Annual Creekwood Fishing Derby is sponsored by the Woodlands Professional Firefighters Association. March 14 – Arts in the Park. Enjoy an afternoon with family and friends at Rob Fleming Park! Bring lawn chairs, grab a bite to eat at the food trucks and enjoy live stage performances. This free event features local vendors selling original artwork, children’s activities and live entertainment. Artists 18 and younger are encouraged to create their very own masterpiece and enter the Youth Art Contest. Learn More
