Lake Conroe Operations: Remnants of Tropical Depression Imelda
Conroe, Texas – At this time (7:54am 9/19/19), Lake Conroe is at 199.02 feet above mean sea level (msl), which is two feet below normal pool of 201’ msl. The Lake Conroe watershed has received less than one inch of rainfall in the past 24 hours, so all Lake Conroe dam gates remain closed and no water is being released. The east fork of the San Jacinto River has experienced significant rainfall and numerous locations are at moderate flood stage:East Fork near New Caney is at moderatePeach Creek near Splendora is at minor, predicted to go into majorEast Fork at Cleveland is at action.

San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) continues to coordinate with numerous operational partners to include: Harris County Flood Control District, Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, National Weather Service, and the River Forecast Center.
