Jenny Carattini-Wright Takes the Helm of TWAC as Executive Director

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Jenny Carattini-Wright, who has admirably served in a variety of positions with The Woodlands Arts Council since its inception, has taken the helm of the organization as its Executive Director. Most recently, she was Interim Development Director this year, and prior to that was Festival Director of The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival from 2011-2016. During her tenure as Festival Director, she led the team in ranking among the top five arts festivals in the country. The event quickly became one of the most sought-after fine arts festivals in the nation for both artists and attendees.

Jenny brings over 30 years of experience from the hospitality, event and non-profit world to The Woodlands Arts Council. Jenny joined the ranks of an elite group of event industry professionals completing a program as a Certified Festival & Events Executive (CFEE) in 2013 from the International Festival & Events Association. In 2015, she completed the Certified Non-Profit Executive Program from the Leadership Institute for Non-Profit Executives at Rice University.

“I have been a resident of The Woodlands for over 30 years, and I consider leadership of The Woodlands Arts Council to be a great honor,” Jenny said. “There is much to look forward to. On April 4 and 5, 2020 we will celebrate the 15th year of the award-winning Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival. I am extremely excited to be a part of bringing the fine arts to my hometown and beyond, both through the festival and the cultural and education programs and scholarships the festival funds each year.”
