Houston Methodist The Woodlands raises awareness on National Wear Red Day

By  |

The Woodlands, Texas – On Friday, February 7, 2020, employees at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital showed their support for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign today by wearing red.

Why Go Red? Because cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women, causes 1 in 3 deaths among women each year and kills approximately one woman every 60 seconds.

By wearing red, employees helped raise awareness about heart disease and stroke.

Friday, February 7 is National Wear Red Day and the American Heart Association encourages all to get involved and be a relentless force in support of women’s health. Post your red photos to raise awareness and join the conversation on social media with #WearRedDay and #WearRedAndGive.
