Earth Day Greenup

Join us for the 10th annual community litter cleanup, Earth Day GreenUp on March 21, 2020. Please pre-register for the park of your choosing by March 9th to ensure equipment for your group. You gather your friends and we provide the bags!  Annually, volunteers remove 4500 pounds of litter or 76 of our 96-gallon trash carts.

: 8 to 10 a.m.
Cleanup: 8 to 11 a.m.
Celebration: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pre-registration and Waivers
All ages are welcome to participate. Minors must be accompanied by a guardian. Participants will receive a t-shirt and lunch at the Northshore Park celebration following cleanup. Please pre-register before March 9th to ensure equipment for your group.

Whether participating as an individual or group, everyone must sign a waiver. Online pre-registration includes a waiver form.

If you miss pre-registration, you may sign a waiver at check-in. Participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

Cleanup Details and Locations
Come prepared for outdoor activity on uneven terrain. Long pants and closed-toe shoes/boot are recommended. Remember hats, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, reusable work gloves and a reusable water bottle. There will be a refilling station at the celebration! Disposable gloves and bags are provided for each participant. A limited number of litter grabbers and vests are available for groups that pre-register.

Volunteers (pre-registered and walk-up registrations) will check-in Saturday, March 21st from 8 to 10 a.m. at the participating parks below. Pick up supplies for yourself or group and receive a map to your designated cleanup site.

Don’t Forget – Come Celebrate at Northshore Park!
After cleaning your designated site, celebrate at Northshore Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The party features games and live music. Be sure to pick up your FREE t-shirt, pizza and treats for being a GreenUp volunteer.
