Celebration of Excellence Gala

By  |
Update 7/8/2020:
During this time of uncertainty, Interfaith’s mission has remained constant.  Our focus has always been and will continue to be serving our neighbors in need. Your generous support allows this to continue, especially during these last several months as we assist our neighbors with the most basic of human needs including: food, clothing, shelter and financial assistance.
We are keenly aware that this pandemic is far from over and our neighbors’ needs continue to increase. Our number one priority is to serve, but we must ensure our actions keep our community as healthy and safe as possible.
With this in mind, Interfaith of The Woodlands has chosen to forgo hosting the Celebration of Excellence Gala in 2020. This was a decision made with great thought, and our community’s best interest in mind. We will continue our tradition of honoring Hometown Heroes, but it will look different this year, as we focus on the Heroes of 2020. We will honor their service to our community by dedicating our time and resources into helping those struggling with the economic impacts of COVID-19.
During the weeks leading up to what would have been our Season of Excellence, we will begin a COMMUNITY: Neighbor For Neighbor series, showing you first-hand how donations are making a positive difference for those struggling from COVID-19 and honoring those who have committed to serving The Woodlands community.  We invite you to tune into our social media channels, read our email messages and lend your support to care for others.
We are tremendously grateful for the guidance and leadership of our Board of Director’s Chair, Josh Urban; as well as for the support and encouragement from the Honorary Co-Chairs of the Gala, Sharon & Alex Sutton and Christine & Rob Johnson, along with the Gala Event Co-Chairs, DeAnn Guidry and Nicole Murphy.
From one neighbor to another, thank you for your support during this unique year and helping us to continue our nearly 47-year-old mission of Building a More Loving and Caring Community Through Service.
Warm Regards,
Missy Herndon
Interfaith President and CEO

The annual Celebration of Excellence Gala is dedicated to honoring Hometown Heroes while also celebrating the heroes that have been nominated over the years. All proceeds benefit Interfaith of the Woodlands, which provides critical community programs and services that aid families in crisis and care for senior adults in The Woodlands and South Montgomery County.
