Enjoy a SPOOKtacular Evening at The Pavilion’s Hocus Pocus Pops October 18

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Get ready for tricks, treats and symphonic suites at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s Hocus Pocus Pops Friday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by HEB and Woodforest National Bank, the night will feature the Houston Symphony in a mesmerizing performance of horrifying horns, bewitching bassoons and chilling cellos. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. Tickets are $20 for reserved orchestra seating. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m.

Hocus Pocus Pops Characters

The Pavilion will welcome Jacob Joyce to the Main Stage to conduct the Houston Symphony in a mesmerizing performance featuring popular selections from Back to the Future, Jaws, Sleeping Beauty, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and more.

Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costume for a chance to walk on stage during the concert. The first 100 boys and girls to check in at Hocus Pocus Central in the North Plaza, fully costumed, get the chance to march in the Goblin Parade. Wristbands are required to participate in the Goblin Parade.

Pre-concert activities start at 6:00 p.m. and include making a spider headband at The Pavilion Partners Arts & Crafts booth, playing music at the Instrument Petting Zoo, pumpkin decorating courtesy of H-E-B and sponsor activations by Fidelity Investments, Tommy Bahama, Texas Children’s Hospital—The Woodlands, Code Ninjas, Woodforest National Bank, H-E-B and Renewal by Andersen.

If you dare, hop onto the Great Pumpkin Express and carve out some great memories. Train rides begin at 5:30 p.m. in The Pavilion’s Gold Lot. Learn more at woodlandscenter.org/events-performing-arts/featured/2019/hso-hocus-pocus-pops.

Guests are welcome to bring a picnic from home or their favorite restaurant to enjoy in their seat or on the lawn. Keep in mind however, that beverages are not allowed to be brought into The Pavilion and picnics must comply with The Pavilion’s bag size restriction and/or be in original packaging. Examples include pizza within a pizza box or chips in original sealed packaging. Please visit The Pavilion’s website for more information on these restrictions. For those wanting to sit on the hill, lawn chairs also are provided free for this event.

Preferred parking is available in the on-site Town Center Garage, located along Six Pines Drive. Parking is $10 per vehicle for this and most performing arts events. Tickets for on-site parking can be purchased in advance at Ticketmaster and The Pavilion Box Office. Guests also may park in any of the free parking lots off Timberloch Drive on the southwest side of The Pavilion.
