Don Felder rocks Sunny California Gala at the Pavilion

By  |

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion hosted the “Sunny California” Gala presented by Strike on Saturday, March 24 where guests witnessed a legendary performance from Don Felder, formerly of the Eagles, watched the West Coast find its way to The Woodlands, and raised funds for the arts.

All money raised from the gala benefited The Pavilion’s performing arts events, educational outreach programs and The Pavilion Partners Fine Arts Scholarship Fund.

Guests were greeted by outdoor fun in a Hollywood setting and walk the red carpet with the stars of fame, enjoyed a cocktail reception in the Woodforest Bank Club with live exotic animals, and then spend the evening in the Pavilion’s event center. After viewing a powerful presentation of the Pavilion’s outreach and impact, the program included dinner, a live auction, and a private performance from Don Felder.

The Pavilion is much more than a concert venue. The Pavilion introduces new audiences to great music, educates and advocates for a new generation of musicians, and presents a diverse offering of performing arts. The gala helped raise valuable funding to support their mission, including educational programs to support fine arts students, offer academic and social incentives, provide community enrichment opportunities and area students with fine arts scholarships.
