Chamber hosts Shenandoah Mayor Candidate Forum

The Woodlands, Texas – The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business Advocacy Council will host a candidate forum for Shenandoah’s upcoming mayoral race on April 20 from 8-9 a.m. at The Woodlands Area Chamber’s Lakeshore Board Room, located at 9320 Lakeside Blvd., Building 2, Suite 200.

“As part of The Chamber’s core functions to advocate for business, it is important that we engage and inform our members on what is taking place in the community,” Lupe Cuellar, director of government affairs, said. “Hosting candidate forums like this give our members the opportunity to hear from their local representation.”

Hannah Zedaker, reporter with Community Impact Newspaper, will moderate the forum including candidates M. Ritchey Wheeler and Gary Henson.

The city of Shenandoah website describes Shenandoah as a General Law city with a population of approximately 3,000 people. The city is governed by an elected city council with six members – five council members and a mayor. The council members common goal is to operate the city in the best interests of the residents and businesses.

Candidates will appear on the City of Shenandoah residents’ general election ballot in the Montgomery County Joint Election on May 5, 2018. The first day of early voting is April 23, the last day for early voting is May 1 and Election Day is May 5. To learn more about the candidates and election visit www.MontgomeryVotes.com
