Celebrate Crawfish Season with these 6 Local Festivals

Crawfish season is here and it’s time to celebrate! From March through May, these festivals will keep your crawfish cravings satisfied while also serving up live music, cold beverages, entertainment for kids, and a great time!

March 23 – 9th Annual Woodlands CrawPHish Festival – The Woodlands CrawPHish Festival features thousands of pounds of Louisiana crawfish, boiled and seasoned to perfection, as well as kid-friendly chicken tenders and barbecue. It will be an afternoon filled with cold beer, delicious food, live music, and kids’ activities, all to raise awareness of pulmonary hypertension! Learn More

April 6 – Woodforest Crawfish Carnival – Thrill seekers and crawfish cravers will both be satisfied at the Woodforest Crawfish Carnival! Heaps of spicy crustaceans and a Ferris wheel headline the event taking place at Christine Allen Nature Park. A $10 admission ticket includes 3 pounds of crawfish or a food item and non-alcoholic drink as well as zydeco music, carnival games, crawfish races, inflatables, a photo booth and more. Tickets at the door are cash-only and cost $15. Adults 21+ can purchase beer, wine and margaritas from Southern Rum Runners. Get Tickets

April 6 – Muddy Trails Bash – Get your run on, then get your crawfish on! The Bash starts with a 5k, then the festive post-race party includes live zydeco music, children’s activities, and the Muddy Bowl Crawfish Cook-Off. Learn More

April 7 – 4th Annual Exit 73 Crawfish Cook-Off – Teams compete to see who has the Best Tasting Crawfish. But the best part is YOU get to EAT as much crawfish as you want from any of the teams! Join us for a full day of family fun starting at 11:00 a.m. There will be live music, bounce houses, face painting, snow cones and slip n’ slides for the kids. April 27 – Texas Crawfish Festival in Old Town Spring – Come on down to Old Town Spring, as the Texas Crawfish Festival is back! It will be located in Preservation Park and includes Country and Zydeco music, a petting zoo, zip lines, carnival, and of course lots of crawfish! Learn More

May 4 – Rails & Tails Mudbug Festival – This day long tribute to the tasty crawfish will feature music from the Allen Oldies Band, The Powell Brothers, Bayou Roux, Phineus Reb, and others. There will be food and merchandise vendors, a kids’ zone, live crawfish racing, and more. Admission and parking are free. Learn More
