Body found in pond off of HWY 242
CONROE, TX – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office shared the following update: “On June 18, 2018 at about 3 PM the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting a body found in a pond in the 11100 block of Highway 242. Deputies and Crime Scene Investigators are on scene now.”
“No identification was found on the male, and the cause of death was not immediately apparent at the time of recovery. An autopsy was ordered and the investigation is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.”
UPDATE 6/19/18: “Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide/Violent Crimes Unit have identified the deceased male from yesterday’s scene on SH 242 as 19 year old Matthew Dean Johnson of Porter, TX. No update as to cause and manner of death at this time as autopsy results are pending.”
