Market Street to host South Montgomery County 4th of July Parade

Looking for a place to celebrate this Fourth of July? Market Street will once again host the popular South Montgomery County 4th of July Parade and live music in Central Park from Nobody’s Fool.

The 42nd Annual South Montgomery County Fourth of July Parade takes kicks off at 9 am and features a Let Freedom Ring theme led by Grand Marshall Dana Tyson of Sunny 99.1 with marching bands, fire engines, clowns, horses and floats along with appearances from local dignitaries. The Texas Army National Guard Brigade Headquarters, 72nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team; 1-133D Field Artillery, 56th Infantry Brigade Combat Team along with Expeditionary Medical Facility Detachment J and members of the U.S. Navy will participate in the parade. Marching bands include students from The Woodlands College Park High School, Willis High School and Hempstead High School. More than 8,000 guests who will line the streets and enjoy the parade, which makes its way through Market Street and concludes at 10:30 am. For additional details visit www.4thofjuly.org.

The cover band Nobody’s Fool will entertain with popular tunes through the decades as well as country hits as they perform in Market Street’s Central Park from 7 – 9:15 pm on July 4. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the concert.
