The Woodlands Arts Council Announces Mike Bass as First Executive Director

The Woodlands Arts Council (TWAC) has hired Mike Bass, a well-known and respected business leader in The Woodlands community, to be its first Executive Director. In his newly created position, Bass will use his extensive experience in multi-national consulting and business management to bring TWAC to the next level as one of the leading arts organizations in Montgomery County.

Bass has been involved with TWAC for the past five years as a volunteer, and most recently as Treasurer of the Board of Directors. As Executive Director, he will assemble a collaborative team to continue to fulfill TWAC’s mission to promote, encourage and enhance the visual and performing arts in The Woodlands Area community. In addition to his passion for TWAC’s mission, he served the community as a Director of The Woodlands Township from 2012-2016.

“We are thrilled to announce Mike’s appointment as our first Executive Director,” said Amy Lecocq, President of TWAC. “Not only is this new position a huge step forward for our organization, we also found the perfect person to fill it in Mike Bass. He has decades of expertise in leading and structuring businesses and organizations for efficiency and success. He will lead a team of professionals who will further strengthen our nationally ranked Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, our education and outreach programs, and our role in the enrichment of the public and cultural arts in The Woodlands and beyond.”
