Overnight Freeze possible in Montgomery County

The National Weather Service Houston/Galveston, Texas has issued a Special Weather Statement at 4 PM CDT Saturday, October 28, 2017 regarding a short, light freeze possible overnight across parts of the Piney Woods region.

The following counties may be affected:
Houston, Trinity, Madison, Walker, San Jacinto, Polk, Montgomery, and Liberty

Including the cities of Crockett, Trinity, Groveton, Madisonville, Huntsville, Shepherd, Coldspring, Livingston, Corrigan, Onalaska, The Woodlands, Conroe, Willis, Liberty, Cleveland, and Dayton.

“Mostly clear skies, calm winds, and dry conditions may allow for temperatures to fall into the lower 30’s overnight. Isolated locations along and east of a Madisonville-Conroe-Cleveland line may see temperatures fall near or below freezing (30-32 degrees F) for a short period of time around sunrise. Low-lying or rural areas may be especially prone to these lower temperatures.”

The forecast tonight for The Woodlands is “mostly clear, with a low around 36 degrees. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light in the evening.”
