By  |

A ribbon cutting ceremony to open Cathedral Lakes Parkway on Thursday, June 22nd was led by Evan Besong, the Precinct Project Manager for Montgomery County Precinct 3, and Dr. Steve Riggle, the Developer and Senior Pastor of Grace Community Church, Woodlands Campus.

The new 4-lane Parkway accesses the new, 115-acre Cathedral Lakes Development which is considered the “southern gateway to The Woodlands” at 24400 North Freeway.  Three parcels totaling 28 acres have already been sold with another 2.5  acre parcel to close in August.

Pastor Riggle commented that the “opening of the Parkway culminated a long journey to redeem land and sand pits into a work-live planned location with a beautiful lake.”  This Mediterranean-style Development, which includes the church, will be a scenic mix of commerce including Hotels, Condo’s, Multi Family, Single Family, Retail, Restaurants, Offices Buildings, and other businesses as well.

Key contractors also participated in the event including Scott Covington, the Development Broker, Mark Sappington (Sappington Engineering),  Saeed Eslaminejad (Cobb Fendley), Ginger Horn (Terracon), Patti Joiner (Knudson & Associates), Bart Sequeira (Quadvest Construction), Jacob Peltier (Peltier Brothers), and John Wilbois (J Wilbois Designer).

The Commissioner’s office commended the transformation of this property.  “A beautiful Development has been created and an asset to the community which will also provide considerable future tax-revenues to Montgomery County.”
