Judge Doyal on Storm Recovery and FEMA assistance during briefing

CONROE, TX – August 30, 2017 – Montgomery County Judge Craig Doyal conducted a press briefing on the county’s storm response and recovery efforts again at 4:45 p.m. today, Wednesday, August 30, at the county’s Emergency Operations Center at 9472 Airport Road, Conroe TX 77303. The focus is on disaster assistance.

Judge Doyal, Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Darren Hess, officials with the Montgomery County Public Health District, and others answered questions and discuss the storm’s impacts and the county’s efforts and what the public needs to know in seeking assistance, filing insurance claims, and staying during recovery efforts.

Judge Craig Doyal shared, “Thank you to President Donald Trump and Gov. Greg Abbott for the disaster declaration for Montgomery County, and thank you Congressman Brady for your efforts to get this declaration. We now know there will be FEMA assistance for individual and public needs. Individuals in the 29 counties, now including Montgomery and San Jacinto counties, in the federal disaster declaration can register with FEMA the following ways:
