Cory Morrow Headlines “Bringin’ It Home” Fundraiser

By  |

HandUp Global Goods, a Montgomery County-based nonprofit organization that equips young men who have aged out of Haitian orphanages with jobs, financial literacy, and discipleship, is hosting its second annual Bringin’ It Home fundraising concert. The event will take place on the evening of Thursday, October 26 at Dosey Doe’s Big Barn, 25911 Interstate 45 in The Woodlands.

The event will feature heavy appetizers, entertainment, dancing, and live music provided by Cory Morrow, the acclaimed Houston-born Texas Country singer/songwriter. Sponsors to date for this extraordinary event include B&A Farms, Cerner Corporation, and L2 Engineering.

“Last year’s inaugural concert raised more than $30,000, which provided us a safe and spacious facility, opened doors for more teens in transition, and created more local jobs for Haitian people,” said Natul Middlebrook, executive director of HUGG. “We are hoping to double the amount of funds raised this year, which will enable us to provide the essential services, materials, and resources to ten more teens aging out of our partner orphanage in Haiti. HandUp seeks a meaningful and lasting change in these impoverished communities by giving a ‘hand up’ rather than another ‘hand out.’”
