Governor Rick Perry At 2017 Economic Outlook Conference

The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its 2017 Economic Outlook Conference, Fully Charged: Moving Forward on January 27, 2017, showcasing luncheon keynote speaker, Governor Rick Perry.

For over 30 years, the Economic Outlook Conference recognizes that the economic activity of our county warrants individual analysis to supplement traditional economic forecasts for our region.

“The Economic Outlook Conference provides the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the projected growth of the economies in Montgomery County and Texas,” said JJ Hollie, The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO. “Year after year, this event brings together nationally recognized speakers, over 800 businesses, community leaders and corporate sponsors.”

The 2017 Volunteer Team Leader for the Economic Outlook Conference is Nicole Gauthier, Executive Director with Lone Star College Foundation. “We are really looking forward to this year’s lineup of speakers. When the team chose the theme, Fully Charged: Moving Forward, we wanted to pull in speakers that can focus on the robust Texas economy and discuss what we can anticipate for continued future growth. We are thrilled to have Governor Perry join us in 2017.”

Leading off the morning, attendees will hear from U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady of the 8th District, followed by presenting underwriter Gil Staley, Chief Executive Officer of The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership, and Alex Sutton and Tim Welbes, Co-Presidents of The Woodlands Development Company for a community update. The morning keynote speakers will be Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar and Heidi Cruz, Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. The day will end with luncheon keynote speaker, Governor Rick Perry.
